When your packing clothes for a trip you try and think of everything that might happen. Cold, rain, hot, cool, warm with a slight chill... Did I bring enough socks? How many pairs of shoes will I need? Should I really bring that extra jacket? I'm at the point where I know I'll only wear half the stuff I've packed, but why must I bring the rest? Its not like California doesn't have stuff I can buy in case I need it.
One interesting thing is that I can't bring our amazing LL Bean suitcase my mom got us as a wedding gift. It wont fit in the car we're renting. The price you pay for driving up the coast in style. :)
