It figures that the kitten we "adopted" out of the goodness of our hearts would have some sort of problem. We just got back from the vet. During his check-up/first shots our vet heard a heart murmur and wants us to have an EKG done to diagnose the source of the problem. Yup. Heart problems.
There must be a sign on our door that says we're sucker's for special cases. We've already Finnegan, a giant dog that is months or years away from his second uber expensive knee surgery, and then Riley, who, must have been given anti freeze as a puppy. So, its only fitting that we acquire a kitten that has a heart problem.
But, on the bright side, it's still cheaper than having kids.
