Vacations. I love them. With the rapid approach of the holidays, and the knowledge that Gilday will have the last 2 weeks of the year off, and I the last week off, we've been trying to figure out what we were going to do to spend the time efficiently and to expand our horizons. I had originally hoped to find a great deal on a Mediterranean cruise but with it being considered a high season for travel most everything was booked up tight. We've also realized that things are going to change for us next year, be it relocation and/or job changes, so we decided to go somewhere a little bit closer and a little bit more economical.
So far we're leaning on driving up 87 and spending a few days including New Years Eve in Montreal. I've started to seriously research the city, and it looks like it could end up being fun. There is lots to see and do, and with the added possibility of some friends joining us, it could end up being legendary. Of course, it's going to be cold has heck, but we'll be able to say we celebrated New Years in another country (Woo-Hoo). I know, it's not as cool as Paris, but in these unstable times, it will just have to work. At least we'd getting out of Dodge for a few days. Plus, Gilday and I will be on winter recess, and we can relax!
Je parle francais, ainsi ce sera amusement a rappeler.
Definitely will need to brush up on my French...
