photo 51 - Barns

Barns
This weekend last year, Gilday and I were on a very aggressive hunt for a new house. This shot was taken at one of the houses we saw that weekend. It was an old farm house on 44/55 in Gardiner that had been on the market for a while. The above is an interesting view of 3 of the 5 outhouse/barns that were on the property. The house didn't make much sense inside, and needed too much renovation to make it economical but I loved the idea of converting one of the sheds into a studio.

It's amazing to think how much can change in a year. Gilday is now going to grad school full time, we adopted a cat, we've accepted the fact that we need to rent alittle bit longer to achieve our next phase in life, and, well, I think we're in a different mind set. We're no longer allowing ourselves the selfish impusive spending we were used to. Flying under the radar, so to speak. I think this environment has shaken everyone, and we could use a moment of reflection and i'd like to think, a reinvention.
