Adult Conversation

Most people who read this blog know I moonlight from time to time with design, be it wedding invitations, websites and such, but I've never really made it a fully realized implementation. Well, the time of here and there design is just about over.

What's happening over the next few weeks:

1. Finishing Business Plan
2. Appointment with an accountant who specializes in small creative businesses to hash out the best way to convert from freelance to a business.
3. Launching the new redesigned website.
4. Going thru all our electronic inventory to diagnose needed supplies.
5. Filing the DBA with the county clerk.
6. Starting the first design project with a web developer (who programmed mint.com).
7. Meeting with a non-profit consultant to review a partnership strategy.
8. Try to keep calm while it all starts to fall into place.

No, I'm not quitting the day job just yet, although that is part of the game plan for the future. It's exciting times in the Gilday household.
