next time bring hand sanitizer

Our day of house hunting was fun. I 've still got some homework to do tonight, but I wanted to post a few photos of what we saw.

House number 1. This house had a small room off the kitchen that's main function was that of a sitting room with a huge stone fireplace. When Gilday saw this room, he almost fell over from joy. House number 2: Yes, that is a built in cutting board. AND, there were 2 more where that came from!
Here are a few of the many outbuildings it had. There were about 6 different ones.
House number 3: This house we called "Grandma's House". Each room had fabric wallpaper. Even on the inside squares of the doors. This was in the largest bedroom upstairs.
More Wallpaper. There were tin ceilings in the kitchen that were cool. You can see it here.
House 4: No photo. We got out of SAE's truck, looked at the place, and got right back in.

House 5: No real redeeming qualities. Just a basic boring cape that needed someone to come in, make it look pretty and then sell it. We found out that there is an offer pending so its not in the running.

All in all a productive day. Nothing really tickled our fancy, but we'll try again soon.

That House #1 room with the fireplace is AWESOME! I'd call it the Cognac Den if I owned it. All you would need is a big animal head over the mantle - preferably an animal head that didn't drool uncontrollably.

I said exactly the same thing to Steve. Of course, I pronounced it the respectable way: cog-nack.
