And the winner is...

It looks like we’re buying a house. After a back and forth match that would be a stellar game of any US open, we’ve finally settled on a price. It’s a good thing we’re on spring break this week from grad school. It’s going to be a week filled with home inspections, financial meetings and paperwork. With the market being so slow, I’d imagine that our closing could be quick. But that’s in an ideal world…

I’m excited and nervous all at the same time. But, I can't wait to go shopping for tile for the bathroom, new countertop and cabinet doors for the kitchen, pull up carpeting (which we'll be donating to Habitat for Humanity), and get the old refrigerator in the basement working. Its going to be great to be a homeowner again. :)
